Exactly 152 years ago today, the book “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” was published.
Lewis Carroll started the story during a boat trip with Alice and her sisters on the 4th of July, 1862. Later he expanded the tale for publication and the first edition of the book was printed on 4 July 1865, exactly 3 years after the boat trip. But this first issue was recalled because of unsatisfactory printing. The official publishing date is therefore 18 November 1865.
