Talk: Lewis Carroll and the Red Queen of Thame

On March 15th in Thame (UK), Carroll scholar and writer Mark Davies will talk about the factual inspirations for the Alice books, with an emphasis on the River Thames and a connection with the town of Thame.

Mark Davies is not only a Carroll scholar and writer, but also a local historian and Oxford guide. He will reveal some of the inspirations Carroll got from his surroundings, with a special emphasis on the importance of the River Thames in the creation, content and context of the story, as well as outline a connection with the town of Tame.
